Her current work is inspired by ancient artefacts with mystical themes, using Celtic and Chinese script and imagery. Textures and contrasts are Krystyna's trade mark In 1986 Krystyna began training in the martial art of Taekwon-Do in order to force herself out of the workshop and do something completely different. In 1990 Krystyna earned a first Dan Black Belt and opened her own Taekwon-Do school soon after. Now in 2011 she has been instructing Taekwon-Do at Parklands Leisure Centre in Oadby, Leicester for 20 years and is a 6th Dan International instructor and examiner with the International Taekwon-Do Federation. Krystyna is frequently commissioned to design sculptural awards and trophies for Taekwon-Do events and is now sought after to produce individual achievement awards for dignitaries around the world. As well as her sculptural award work, she designs sculptural tiles for interiors. Click to see article in Leicestershire Life Magazine April 2011, page 18/19 |
